Mystic Hardware is located in Rochester, NY and has been servicing the Greater Rochester area since opening in 2007. We are dedicated to providing businesses and residential end users with IT solutions. We specialize in onsite service calls, and with more than 10 years’ experience in the business, we have the expertise and experience needed to get the job done right. Our business is capable of servicing small and medium sized businesses by providing a wide range of IT services and solutions. We are Information Technology problem solvers; our minds are trained and dedicated to solving IT puzzles. It is our adaptive nature that allows us to constantly learn, grow and change in order to take on new challenges as they emerge in our digital world!
Mystic Hardware is a business operated by two ambitious, motivated individuals; Steven and Gerry Andrychuk. We’ve spent years striving for the best way to illustrate who we are to the people and businesses of our community. We believe that a business should be built around the values of the owners and individuals who make up the business. That is why our business is built on integrity, knowledge, passion and strong work ethics. We proactively strive to solve all issues presented to us and go above and beyond to help educate clients regarding issues they may be unaware of. We believe educating clients and the general public can make the IT field more transparent and less a mystery.
This aids in two primary goals. First, it bridges the gap between the client and the technician making interacting between the two easier. Second, it reduces the technological barrier many clients and technicians have between them today. This can help with two major issues in the computer IT field. The first and most important is finding trustworthy, reputable and legitimate technicians for IT solutions. The second is communication and knowledge; this allows a technician to communicate and educate a client so they understand the task and why it is being performed.
Truthfully, this is a lofty and enormous goal to achieve on a grand scale; one we believe can be achieved here in our local area. So our mission at Mystic Hardware is to educate and provide high quality IT service and products at fair prices to our clients in the most friendly, caring, professional and timely manner possible each and every day.
My name is Steven Andrychuk. I am the founder of Mystic Hardware and the senior lead technician. When I first thought of starting a business, I recall seeing many issues in the IT field that I believed could be solved, but instead were being ignored. I believe that I can help bring change to the IT field by aiding in the removal of the technological barrier and educating the people in the market. My passion for computers and electronics drove me to enter the IT field and I began tinkering with computers while I was still a child. Much like a scientist examining a new finding; this piece of equipment had many mysteries that I had an appetite to solve. This was over 15 years ago. Today I still hold the same passion and beliefs for technology, working every day to bring knowledge and solutions to businesses and end-users alike. However, today’s industry has grown and with it has brought many more problems that seriously threaten a sector that desperately needs and relies on integrity, knowledge, communication and passion. These are the four pillars; they create real world technicians… people who have solutions, problem solving and diagnostic skills keeping the technology in our hands functional and working.
Integrity is the second most important characteristic to be reputable in this business. I started this company with Integrity and I still run it today with Integrity. Integrity is sometimes hard to explain or understand. I’ll make it easy for you: Integrity is the driving force for honesty and the reason we provide accurate and truthful information. It is also the reason I can openly admit that we don’t know everything, and we don’t have all the answers; which is why sometimes we have to do research before providing an answer or solution to a problem that has been presented to us. At the end of the day though, we are human just like you, so call us if you need help! We love solving problems and meeting new people. I believe with more integrity in the Information Technology field, the more transparent the field can become.
Communication is a key component to success in Information Technology. I would like you to think for a moment regarding the last time you called a Company for Technical Advice (This could be for anything… a computer, router, television, dishwasher or other electronic/appliance). Seriously think about it! Now ask yourself… did the individual you spoke with speak fluent and coherent English? More importantly, did they understand your issue and strive to solve it? Chances are with so many companies outsourcing to foreign call centers, the answer is no and this probably made it very difficult to understand each other and get the problem resolved. Communication in the IT field is EXTREMELY important. If I cannot understand you, then how can I help you? If you cannot understand me, then how can you get help? I believe this will help bridge the gap in knowledge between a technician and user.
Knowledge is the most important thing in the Information Technology field. As a child I knew little in regards to computers and the mystery surrounding them was my driving force in discovering all I could. It’s my firm belief that without knowledge of technology, hardware or software one cannot be a technician. I believe you need to have passion in the field to gain that knowledge and expertise. To me technicians do not just replace computers or equipment that isn’t working with new; those people are better called installers. A technician comes in and specifically identifies and diagnoses what is not working through testing and then repairs or replaces necessary parts based on the results of those tests. A technician is much like a scientist, by making educated decisions based on knowledge, evidence and facts. This is what I truly believe the information technology field is greatly lacking.
Passion is what builds and creates; it is the driving force behind everything.
Lets conclude with some fun and interesting facts about Gerry and I. We are identical twins that are as much alike as we are different. If you stroll by Arcadia High School Tennis Courts during the Summer Months, there is a high probability you will find us playing Tennis.
